Frigg is the highest-ranking Aesir goddess, as well as Odin’s wife and queen of the gods. She is the goddess of destiny, the mother goddess, the goddess of love and of marriage. It is said she can see into the future and knows the fate of all men and gods, but she never reveals what she has seen.
Her hall is called Fensalir, where she sometimes sits with her spinning wheel, making new clouds. In her capacity as queen of the gods she is one of the few who may sit in Odin’s high seat of Hlidskjalf. Together with Odin she has the sons Balder and Hod. Frigg is a protective mother and loves Balder above all else.
