Kappas are turtle-like goblinoid yokai from Japanese folklore. The kappa loves cucumbers and sumo-wrestling. They have a shallow bowl-like depression on top of their head, filled with a liquid. If you can trick a kappa to bow (they're very polite) the water will spill out of the bowl and they loose all their powers. Which is a good ploy to know, as kappas often assault humans and try to snatch the victims internal organs away by reaching in through their anus.
